WOW air connecting flights (VIA)
When you are traveling on WOW air connecting flights (VIA), with no stopover in Iceland (two flights in one WOW air booking), your checked hold baggage is forwarded to your final destination.
Flying VIA means that we are responsible for getting you and your baggage to your final destination. You only need to go through passport control and move between gates at Keflavik airport in Iceland. Your baggage will be transferred onward to your final destination. Please note that you will not be able to access your checked baggage during your layover at Keflavik airport.
In the case of a stopover in Iceland, you will have to pick up your baggage at Keflavik airport (KEF) and check-in again when you travel to your final destination. See also: How does the WOW stopover work?
Our guests who book connecting flights with Kiwi.com have to collect their baggage, go through customs (often passport control too), and check in again between flights.
Please note that WOW air is not directly affiliated with any other airline. Your baggage is therefore not checked into any subsequent flights with other airlines:
- You have to claim your baggage, re-check it with the connecting airline and go through passport control and security for your onward flight. The same goes for our guests transferring to flights with us from other airlines.
- When you book a connecting flight, whether it is with WOW air or another airline, don't forget to leave yourself enough time for boarding the second flight of your journey.

WOW air is not liable for any cost or other disputes due to baggage on connecting flights.
WOW guests must pay close attention to check-in times and the terms and conditions of other airlines.
WOW air will bear no responsibility for flights with other airlines and cannot guarantee your on-time arrival for connecting flights with other airlines.
