Emotional Support Dogs are dogs that provide therapeutic benefits to their owner through affection and companionship and, unlike a Registered Assistance/Service Dog, they are not specially trained to perform tasks to help someone with a disability.
With the exception of flights to and from the United Kingdom, Emotional Support Dogs are accepted on our flights provided that WOW air has been provided, in advance, with documented evidence confirming that the dog is certified as being a needed companion for the passenger. Such certification must have been issued by a licensed mental health professional (a medical doctor, psychiatrist, psychologist, or licensed clinical social worker) who has been treating the passenger‘s mental or emotional disability.
Note: WOW air is not responsible for verifying that an animal has the necessary documentation, including up-to-date vaccination records, prior to travel through, to or from any country. It is the responsibility of the person that has paid for the pet's transportation to settle any fines, costs or other expenses incurred as a result of either insufficient documentation being provided or from the dog not meeting the animal entry requirements of the passenger‘s destination country.
